• Consider the Friar's reservations about the marriage in Scene 2.6. Is he right to be worried?


• While Romeo and Friar Lawrence wait for Juliet to arrive, they experience contrasting moods. What are they?


• Shakespeare does not show us the wedding of Romeo and Juliet. Would the dramatic effect of the play be increased by adding the wedding scene?
